2nd page of Portal :D

Chapter 1, Part 1: The Entrance

I arrived at an old warehouse. Its looks like it was 100 years old. I just ignored it and went through the main door. Richard showed me the way. It’s seems like a maze. I felt it was hours before we found Raphael and Bartholomew strap to a chair with a really weird looking helmet. “Wow, will I be wearing those really weird helmets?” I asked Richard. “You got too if u want to play” Richard explained. I study the virtual machine carefully. It was worn out, but still functioning. I see lights radiating from the helmet. I was anxious to go on the machine, even having to wear the funky looking helmet. Then I thought, which is more important… my dignity or the chance to play the game. The game. I am going for the game. With that, I decided to try out the machine.

As I get ready to put on the helmet, I recall something. I had to be back at 9 p.m. I look at the watch before I tried the helmet. 7.42 p.m. With that, I was ready to wear the helmet. As soon as my hair touches the helmet, I felt butterflies in my stomach. Maybe isn’t a good idea to do this. Yet again, I thought, which is more important, my dignity or the chance to play the game. I saw the impatience on Richard’s face. I quickly strapped on the helmet and closed my eyes. I never play a virtual game before. “How do you play this?” I asked Richard. “Richard didn’t give me an immediate reply. “Think about a place that you always wanted to go. Think about the impossible. Think the unreachable.” I raised an eyebrow. God knows what he said to me. I just think about something. Maybe a place in the mountains at Switzerland. What am I thinking? Switzerland. I gave a snort and start thinking something else. I could hear Richard strapping to another virtual machine.

I concentrated onto something. But I couldn’t think of anything. I open my eyes again, looking at the ceilings, blinded by the fluorescent lights. Richard’s word still wanders around my mind. A place that I always wanted to go. I think again. I always wanted to go somewhere deserted. Where I could find miracles and wonders. Where I could be a hero and save the world. Ok. That is a bit too much. Becoming a hero is nice but having a heroine beside you is better. A lot better. Ok, cut this crap. I decided where to go. Somewhere I wished to go since I played my 1st Ps2 game. As soon I thought about the game, I was in a journey to somewhere I don’t know. I feel like I in a portal. I open my eyes and saw colourful things passing me. Wait. Passing me??? I was in a highway to somewhere else. There was only one word I could think of. Cool! I begin to close my eyes again as I went to somewhere that I don’t know.

My story. 1st page :D

PORTAL

Prologue

Damien really was an idiot. Well, more like a brave idiot who loves to accept challenges. Eh, who can blame him? It is his personality. Let him be a marauding species that lay destruction upon every human on Earth. Oops, looks like I am changing the topic already. Let’s get back to the story.

Damien is a tall, skinny guy. Black haired and have a nice mustache, no so thick and not French style. Really a guy that girls dreams about . A very good scholar and a experienced gamer. Such a perfect boy. Well, that’s what people thought, after they saw a glimpse of Damien. But, Damien is not normal.

It happened at primary school. When Damien was 12 years old, his friends invited him to a new virtual game. The type of game that involves the person in the game. Damien thought maybe it would be fun, being in virtual space. So like every boy, Damien accepted his friend invitation. But he didn’t know the danger he was going in.

One of his friends, Richard, told him where to meet. Damien thought of the address again and again. Portal Street. I never heard of that street before. Must have been a new street. Damien continued his walk back to his house. It will be fun, Damien thought. But he will never know the surprised saved for him by his friends.

Richard was standing near a street lamp. Blondie guy. Looks tall and had a fair complexion on his skin. Wearing a t-shirt and a jean, he approaches me with a slow pace.

He looks a bit exhausted. “You were late” Richard told. I look at my watch. 7.10 p.m. He was right. I am late. “Sorry, I didn’t check the time when I was leaving my house”. He stared at me. I stared at him. We then broke into a laugh. “I was just kidding. Come; let’s go play that virtual game with Raphael and Bartholomew. Bartholomew? I heard about him before. But I can’t recall it. I ignored the name and followed Richard to the virtual game.
